Workshop

The courses take place in my studio in Rielasingen. Rielasingen is located in the South of Germany, approx. 30 km away from Constance. Rielasingen can be reached by the train Stuttgart-Singen within approx. 2 hours. By car: Motorway: A81 Stuttgart-Singen, motorway intersection Hegau direction Schaffhausen, motorway exit Singen.

The number of participants is restricted to a maximun of two persons in which the students execute the photogravure inclusive print preparations under my instructions themselves.

All costs of material are included in the fee.

The workshop icludes other than theory following techniques:

Preparations for the printing plate, incl. coating with asphalt dust
Exposure and transfer of the gelatine tissue
Development and etching of the plate
Printing of max. 3 prints on 300 g of handmade printing paper
Maximum size of the master motive/printing plate: 20 x 30 cm

Because during etching with ferric chloride stains cannot be avoided, you need according working clothes, shoes and skintight rubber gloves.

You get the positive film and the plate after course end. I need an image of your choice as a slide, negative, photo or digital file for the production of a positive film one week before.
