Photogravure is a noble method of printing a photgraphic image and was used primarily as a reproduction technique. The process is rarely used today due to the costs involved, but it produces prints with all gradations between deep black and pure white like the subtlety of a photograph. Photogravure is a technique for artists, print-makers and also art photographers who wish to extend their technical abilities with a very special method.
